1.) The Exorcist (1973): Widely regarded as one of the scariest films ever made, it centers on the demonic possession of a young girl and the grueling spiritual battle to save her.

2.) Poltergeist (1982): A classic "haunted house" story where a suburban family's home is invaded by malevolent spirits that abduct their youngest daughter. 

3.) Insidious (2010): Focuses on a family whose son enters a comatose state and becomes a vessel for ghosts from an astral dimension known as "The Further".
